Fender Standard Stratocaster 09 Electric Guitar - Arctic White
Stock code: 64727Features
- Fast-action maple neck
- Comfort-contoured alder body
- Three single-coil pickups and standard synchronized tremolo
The main features include an alder body with 21-fret bolt-on neck and 3 single coil pickups. Frets are medium-jumbo which suits most playing styles and the 9.5 inch radius maple fretboard adds just a subtle extra top-end bite to the sound compared to the same guitar with the rosewood fretboard option. The back of the neck has a super smooth satin finish giving a nice free-flowing playing feel. Fender improved the synchronized tremolo bridge from an older design to have a new "high-mass" steel block underneath to add stability when using the whammy bar, and overall sustain to the guitar sound. The electronics are also shielded to reduce unwanted low-level background noise. A tasteful, slightly off-white parchment pickguard and simplistic headstock face bring the looks of the Standard Stratocaster right up to date.
The Fender Standard Series is what we have come to know and love as the most affordable Fender guitars in the range. Built in Mexico with a level of craftsmanship and quality control that defy their price-point, these guitars are more than capable of producing professional results. With the official Fender 70's style logo on the headstock, you know you are playing the real thing and have become part of the worldwide Fender family!

For the price I paid for this, it's just incredibly playable and there's so much guitar for the price! If you're looking for a guitar under £500, this is the guitar to buy and it's in excess of £100 under the £500 margin! A stupendous object and a pleasure to play.

So, yep, it's made in Mexico... I've played MIA and MIJ Strats and Teles and when the time came to buy my first one I picked this because of the feel and sound, and for the money there is a lot of guitar here. Okay, it may not appreciate in value, but neither will most of the guitars out there! If you're avoiding buying it for the sticker or serial number, I say you've missed the point. Buy this because you want a well-made example of THE name in guitars that you will be itching to pick up and play five minutes after you put it down! I can barely stand to put mine down!
