The Gibson J-35 Electro Acoustic Guitar with Natural finish is an exquisite model, favoured by many players for its rich timbre that is delivered with a confident energy. Originally released by Gibson in 1936, the J-35 was a response to call from players who wanted a high-quality hand-crafted instrument that was comfortable to perform with, whilst retaining an accessible affordability. As with its predecessor, today’s J-35 provides the same heady combination of elegant beauty and rugged reliability, to make it very attractive indeed. Not only that, but each model is supplied with a Gibson standard hardshell case, an owner’s manual, and Gibson’s Gold warranty.
Bozeman, Montana-built Classic
All-American construction is certainly a luxury, and with the J-35 Gibson are offering amazing value for money. Made to match the traditional specifications, the Gibson J-35 features the round-shoulder shape - which everyone knows and loves - with a flat top to match. Warm-sounding mahogany is used for the back and sides, producing a hearty energy that is at once dense and crisp. Paired with the back and sides is a sublime Sitka spruce top, which acts as the perfect soundboard thanks to its impressive resonant properties. The timbre generated by the body shape and tonewoods is projected with the utmost efficiency, giving the J-35 a vast dynamic range to play with.
Beautiful Neck and Fingerboard Partnership
A round-profile mahogany neck has been fitted to the body – via an exquisite dovetail joint at the 14th fret – to guarantee strength and stability during performances, as well as optimum sustain. Married to the neck is a sublime 19-fret rosewood fingerboard, which is adorned with 1/4-inch mother-of-pearl dot position inlays to guide your way in style. Following the vintage specifications, the body, neck and fingerboard all bear a natural finish, which has been treated to a subtle yet resilient coating of nitrocellulose lacquer. Even traditional hot hide glue has been used to join the neck and body of this Gibson J-35, providing an even response both in feel and tone.
L.R. Baggs Element Pickup System
Made to be instantly ready for the stage, this guitar features an L.R. Baggs Element undersaddle pickup which has an excellent dynamic range and eliminates the "quack" associated with typical under saddle types. Discreet in every way, a soundhole mounted volume control lets you alter your volume on the fly for effective live performance.
