Gibson SG Diablo with Floyd Rose Tremolo

As suggested by the name the Gibson SG Diablo with Tremolo is a seriously dark guitar that shredders will love. The body has accentuated curves to give the guitar a sinister quality. The high output humbuckers are amazingly versatile and the Floyd Rose tremolo keeps tuning stable when making extreme pitch changes.

Body

The Gibson SG Diablo with Tremolo features a solid mahogany body with the classic dual horned SG design giving unparalleled access to the upper frets. Not only does the inclusion of the premium tonewood give the guitar incredible tone, sustain and depth but the slim design makes it comfortable to play and lightweight to handle. The Gibson SG Diablo guitars top and back have also been carved to accentuate the distinctive contours of the SG shape to give a 3D effect to the body.

Neck

Designed to be shredded the Gibson SG Diablo features a bound mahogany neck with a slim taper profile, making it super fast and comfortable to play. To stretch the SG’s ability to produce screaming leads a little further the Gibson SG Diablo has a rosewood fingerboard with an additional two frets, giving you a total of 24, to play in the highest register possible on an SG. Keeping tuning stable whilst making extreme changes in pitch is the heralded Floyd Rose Tremolo and locking nut.

490R and 498T Pickups

The 490R and 498T pickups featured on the Gibson SG with Tremolo take the characteristics of ‘50s PAFs and upgrade them for an increase in upper mid-range response.

Together these pickups give the Gibson SG Diablo amazing versatility. The 490R in the neck gives warm vocal tones with crystal clear clarity. The ideal accompaniment in the bridge position the 498T is wound a little hotter to give just about everything else from bright jangle to wailing overdrive with relentless sustain.
