The G9120-SK tenor Koa ukulele offers an excellent instrument for those who're looking for the lilting, gentler ukulele sound with an extended range.
As with other models in the newly updated Gretsch Roots Collection, the G9120-SK is handcrafted using all-solid koa, a dense tonewood that offers a richly textured sound, complimenting the tenor shape beautifully. The natural grain of the koa is displayed through the thin yet resilient layer of open-pore semi-gloss.
The neck is constructed from a single-piece of mahogany, creating a solid and highly resonant platform for the strings. The luxurious rosewood fretboard is home to 19 frets across the extended 17" scale length. Vintage-style B&D mother-of-pearl position markers allow you to navigate your way along the fretboard in style.
The neck is coated with a semi-gloss honey mahogany stain, which not only allows the gorgeous natural grain of the mahogany to shine through, but also creates a perfectly smooth playing experience.
The G9120-SK is fitted with Aquila Nylagut strings, which are firmly secured by the Grover 9NB geared tuning machines and rosewood bridge. String action and spacing is perfectly set by the bone nut and saddle.
The Gretsch G9110-SK concert ukulele comes with a deluxe fitted gig bag so that it is well protected when you're on the move.
Whether you're a guitarist looking for a bright addition to your arsenal, a ukulele player who wants to extend their tonal options, or someone who wants to add a unique, complex and delicate instrument to their collection, the G9120-SK is not to be missed.
