The usual Spanish guitar aesthetics are there, such as: nickel tuners, a dark solid maple fingerboard atop the nato neck, with a matching solid maple bridge, dark basswood back and sides and an ornately decorated soundhole. The Stagg C542 Classical Guitar, however, features a deep maroon coloured top that stands out from the crowd. Sound wise the guitar has the warm and bright sound you would expect of a classical.
Known for being good to learn on classical guitars have a number of attributes that make it that little bit easier. The wider neck and string spacing make it easier for learners to get used to putting their fingers in the correct place and hitting the right string with the other hand. They are smaller than other acoustic guitars, making them more comfortable to play. The strings are nylon, which are easier on the fingers than their steel-strung counter parts.
