The high-end ESP Horizon NT II Electric Guitar is an excellent choice for advanced players with the amazing build quality and style you can always expect from ESP guitars. The quilted maple top further enhances both the tone and looks on this luxury model, which is packed full of top end features. This hardtail model can withstand the heaviest rhythms and the smooth, thin maple neck is extremely easy to play, with the much-loved body shape enhancing playability further. The hardware and electronics have been outsourced from two other top companies in the guitar market, Gotoh and Seymour Duncan, so you know you're getting excellent quality in all areas of this guitar.
Mahogany, which is an extremely warm and balanced tonewood, is used for the body of the ESP Horizon NT-II guitar, adorned with a quilted maple top. While this certainly looks very appealing it also adds to the already excellent tonal qualities. By adding the quilted maple top you get improved sustain, clarity and definition which all equals a brilliantly balanced tone spectrum with tight lows and biting mids. Maple is also used for the neck of this guitar, a wonderful playing surface that is further improved by an ebony fingerboard and 24 XJ frets. This pairing is lesser seen but tonally excellent, the maple has a tight and punchy sound while the ebony adds a fast attack and improved definition in the low end.
Well known and respected manufacturer Gotoh provide the high quality chrome hardware on this guitar, including Gotoh Magnum locking tuners and an excellent hardtail bridge. This is perfect for live performance as there will be less stress about tuning stability so you can focus on playing more. You truly can trust this hardware to deliver a solid and enjoyable playing experience.
Two Seymour Duncan humbuckers adorn this guitar, bringing out the best in the tone already set out by the construction. The SH-4 in the bridge position is perfect for warm crunch tones right up to aggressive distortion, with harmonics that help to cut through any mix. The neck humbucker is a P.A.F. style Seymour Duncan SH-1 which is great for vintage tones and in this case compliments the bridge humbucker as a softer yet bright companion. Wonderfully smooth sustain and clear, glassy cleans are what the SH1 is about, although it certainly keeps up when distorted. Further versatility is added when you utilise the on-board coil tap switch, splitting the humbuckers into single coils for even more tonal dexterity. Biting crunch and wonderfully sharp clean tones are added to the arsenal of the ESP Horizon NTII making this a great guitar for many styles. A 3-way toggle and master tone and volume controls are also on offer to shape your sound to your preference.
