The Gibson Les Paul Traditional has a mahogany body with traditional weight-relief holes for a beefy tone that maintains the resonance of modern Les Pauls. The Gibson Les Paul Traditional is Gibson USA’s first model to utilize the revolutionary Plek system — a computer-controlled set-up that carefully measures and dresses each fret, accurately measuring the height between the fingerboard and each string, virtually eliminating string buzz and providing unbeatable playability.

Two of Gibson’s best-loved humbuckers — a ’57 Classic in the neck position, and a ’57 Classic Plus in the bridge — give the new Traditional the power, punch, and clarity of Gibson’s legendary PAF pickups. Other traditional appointments include vintage-style Gibson speed knobs, classic Kluson-style tuners by TonePros, which offer period-correct looks with a higher tuning ratio, and a chrome Nashville Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar. Each Les Paul Traditional also comes with Gibson USA’s standard black snakeskin case.

The Les Paul Traditional is outfitted with Kluson-style tuners from TonePros, which are made to look identical to the vintage tuners found on earlier Les Pauls. These new tuners offer world-class performance while retaining the classic look and feel of one of the most popular—and most copied—tuners of all time.

The neck on the Les Paul Traditional from Gibson USA is reminiscent of those classic necks—a thicker, C-shape profile emulating the neck shapes found on the iconic 1958 and 1959 Les Paul Standards.The fingerboards on Gibson USA's Les Paul Traditional is constructed from the highest grade rosewood on the planet and the 12-inch radius of the fingerboard provides smooth note bending capabilities and eliminates "dead" or "choked out" notes, common occurrences on fingerboards with lesser radiuses.
