Gibson Left Handed Les Paul Traditional Mahogany - Satin Ebony

The Gibson Les Paul Traditional Mahogany offers all the classic Les Paul tone and amazing playability wrapped up in that ageless body design. Now, however, it has been bestowed with an honour usually only seen on Custom and Special models: an all-mahogany body.

Finished in a nitrocellulose lacquer the Gibson Les Paul Traditional Mahogany Guitar’s all-mahogany body is joined by the expected '80s-era appointments and construction, two PAF-style humbucker pickups and a fast ‘60s neck with rosewood fingerboard.

Construction

The back of the Gibson Les Paul Traditional Mahogany is still chambered for weight-relief and improved body tone, with a two-piece mahogany top capping this. Glued-in and quarter-sawn, for improved strength and resonance, the neck is also constructed from mahogany and is carved to a slim ‘60s profile for speed and comfort. Adorning this is a 22 medium-jumbo fret, Grade-A bi-layer 12” rosewood fingerboard.

Electronics

Offering a great blend of depth and clarity to complement the beautiful body are a pair of PAF-style '57 Classic humbuckers with Alnico II magnets, and wound with 42 AWG wire. In the neck is a '57 Classic offering giving you plenty of warmth, while the '57 Classic Plus in the bridge, being hotter, provides humbucker crunch and screaming lead tones.

Keeping control of the Gibson Les Paul Traditional Mahogany’s pickups are two volume & two tone control knobs, with chromed covers, and a three-way Switchcraft toggle switch.

Hardware

Sustain and stability is taken care of by a Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, while TonePros tuners with pearloid buttons keep the style vintage. Finishing touches to the Gibson Les Paul Traditional Mahogany include a cream binding, cream pickguard, gold Top-Hat knobs with silver inserts, a mother-of-pearl Gibson headstock logo and silk-screened gold "Les Paul Model” emblem.

What’s more the Gibson Les Paul Traditional Mahogany comes complete with a plush-lined hardcase with black exterior, owner's manual and adjustment literature.
