Construction

The double cutaway design used for the ESP LTD H-51 is well-loved by many guitarists the world over and is a perfect choice for players getting to grips with their first lead lines and riffs. Made from basswood, the body of this guitar is light but provides solid tone, especially good for cutting through mixes while you're soloing. The choice of tonewoods for this guitar is extremely versatile though and won't let you down in any style of music. The trusted partnership of a rosewood fingerboard and a maple neck are used to great effect by ESP here as it's a great playing surface to learn and develop on. All of the 24 XJ frets sit on a thin U neck which allows for extremely fast playing but suits just as well for slow and sustained chords.

ESP provide all of the hardware present on the ESP LTD H 51, from the tuners to the TOM bridge. All finished with a professional chrome look, the hardware is solid and the thru-body tuning system in place increases sustain and tonal response so you can get the best out of this guitar.

Electronics

Dual ESP LH-150 humbuckers are fitted in the bridge and neck positions and are capable of outputting a great variety of tones. Clean tones are strong and well pronounced but can easily be tamed with use of the master tone control to create a more subtle and atmospheric vibe. When pushed into distortion, these pickups really hold their own and respond with wonderful dynamics. The ESP LTD H51 will suit a wide variety of tones and will stay reliable for years to come.
