A classic in everyway the American Standard P Bass has been with us since 1951, so any alteration is bound to come with a little trepidation. Fear not however the Fender American Standard Hand Stained Ash Precision Bass retains everything you love about the legendary instrument and adds to it an ash body with a tasteful hand-rubbed stain, covered by a protective satin-lacquer topcoat. However, as part of the FSR Series, the Fender American Standard Hand Stained Ash P Bass is seriously limited, with just 150 available worldwide, and only 45 of those making their way to Europe.
The Fender American Standard Precision Bass Hand Stained Ash has a superbly playable maple neck, strengthened with Posiflex Graphite Neck Support Rods and carved to the Modern "C" shape and satin-finished for faster play. Topping this is a gloss finished, maple fingerboard with a radius of 9.5" and 20 medium-jumbo frets.
Wholesome, defined bass tone is pumped out courtesy of the mainstay of the P Bass, the split-coil pickup. Giving the Fender American Standard Hand Stained Ash Precision Bass the warm, solid bass tone that has defined music for years the pickup is controlled simply by master volume and master tone knobs.
Completing the package the Fender American Standard Hand Stained Ash PBass comes supplied with a rectangular moulded SKB case, cable, strap & polishing cloth.
