The Fender Mustang I is a 20-watt, modelling amplifier, offering 8 amplifier models and 24 different on board effects.
The Fender Mustang brings the world of modelling and computer capability to a whole new range of musicians. Together with IK Multimedia, Fender has created a complete performing and recording packaging that has limitless possibilities. The supplied FUSE software enables the user to manipulate the patches stored on the amplifier and create their own tones using different amp types, speaker types and effects. The modelled amplifiers are the Fender '57 Deluxe, Fender '69 Bassman, '65 Twin Reverb, Super-Sonic as well as the classic Marshall like tones of the '60's and '80's plus the familiar growl of the Mesa Boogie Rectified tone. The amplifiers USB port enables direct connectivity between the amp and you computer, not only allowing instant editing of the on board sounds, but the amplifier also becomes a recording interface so you can record directly from your amp into your DAW (Cubase, Sonar, Garageband etc.) An on-board tuner makes for one less extra item to take to a recording session as well as having a stereo input jack for when you want to play along to your favourite tracks from an MP3 or CD player, plus there is a stereo headphone out for when you get asked to turn the rock and roll down a bit.
