Drawing inspiration from the 1985, Maryland-made guitar, which started Paul Reed Smith’s escalation to the big leagues the PRS SE Custom 24 Electric Guitar sports all the same great craftsmanship, beautiful aesthetics and incredible tone but bundles it in a highly affordable package.
A classic pairing of a bevelled maple top, in this case with flame maple veneer, and a mahogany body show off the PRS SE Custom 24 Electric Guitar’s wood’s tonal highlights to full effect. Warm, rich tones are provided by the mahogany, along with plenty of resonance and low end sustain. The maple top offers superb clarity and top end bite, with the flame maple veneer finishing things off nicely.
Wide and thin the maple neck set in the PRS SE Custom 24 offers a really comfortable playing experience across the instruments 24 frets. Topped by a rosewood fingerboard you have a combination that not only looks good but also offers warm, sweet tones with plenty of high-end sparkle and low-end thickness. What’s more the fingerboard of the PRS SE Custom 24 is adorned with classic PRS bird inlays.
The PRS SE Custom 24 comes supplied with PRS-designed bare zebra humbuckers in the form of the SE HFS Treble & SE Vintage Bass. Adding even more tonal breadth to the guitar the tone control has a push/pull design offering a coil split for single coil play. Along with the 3-way blade selector switch this practically doubles the number of pickups on the PRS SE Custom 24 Guitar, thus making it even more versatile than you would consider at first glance. The PRS SE Custom 24 is also supplied with a tremolo for all your sound-bending needs.
