PRS SE Paul Allender Electric Guitar - Purple

Highly familiar with PRS, Paul Allender has been using their guitars for years, first with his band The Blood Devine and then continuing when he rejoined Cradle of Filth.

Wanting his own PRS, he sent them designs featuring a purple/black sunburst finish on a curly maple top and bat inlays. Originally made through PRS Private Stock the guitar went on to become the 2007 PRS SE Paul Allender, which has now been updated for 2012 to include a bevelled mahogany body with flame maple veneer and jumbo frets, whilst remaining fundamentally as Paul intended. The maple neck remains unchanged giving you 24 frets and those unique Paul Allender bats in place of the birds. The neck profile also remains a comfortable wide, thin shape.

Electronics

Featuring two push/pull controls at the guitar’s volume and tone controls the PRS SE Paul Allender has been fitted with pickups purpose-designed to give you the largest breadth of tone possible from a single guitar.

Taking the ever-popular EMG 81 and including an additional single coil via its dual-mode design the PRS SE Paul Allender has been fitted with an 81TW for its amazing versatility. This pickup offers crunch and aggression from the humbucker, which can be switched to a fatter, clearer tone from the single-coil.

Like wise the PRS SE Paul Allender Electric Guitar’s EMG 89 is also fitted with both a humbucker and a single coil, so you can switch between a warmth and power similar to an EMG 85, and a single coil Strat sound for bright and chimey tones. All at the push and pull of a control knob.

Along with all the extra versatility of the push/pull controls the PRS SE Paul Allender also features volume and tone controls, a three-way toggle pickup selector and a PRS Designed tremolo.
