A guitar that went against the stylistic grain in the era of its inception, the Rickenbacker 360 Electric Guitar has continued to turn heads over the decades with only subtle updates through the years to keep it current.
The Rickenbacker 360 retains the ‘60s British jingle-jangle that makes these guitars so attractive, while the deluxe hollow body has seen some change to offer a more comfortable contour around its perimeter. All the other aesthetic features that make Rickenbackers so unique are apparent on the Rickenbacker 360 Semi Acoustic Guitar, such as the crescent moon shaped double cutaway, which gives access to the whole register, slash-shaped sound hole, and the ‘R’ shaped tailpiece.
Ensuring bright tones with plenty of clarity and a tight low end the Rickenbacker 360 Electric Guitar has been constructed from maple, which, with the bound, semi-hollow body design is kept lightweight for comfortable playing.
Adding even more sizzle to the guitar’s high notes, whilst contributing extra firmness to the lows is a maple neck. This it topped by a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard with triangular pearloid inlays, which has been lacquered to give a smoother, and faster, playing surface.
The Rickenbacker 360 comes fully loaded with a pair of Hi-gain single-coil pickups to give you all the 60s jungle-jangle you would expect. The bridge pickup offers a searing tone, while the neck is more warm and jazzy. Combined this pairing offer the classic Rickenbacker jangle.
Alongside independent volume and tone controls for each pickup and the three-way selector switch the Rickenbacker 360 Guitar also offers a Blend control. This small control gives you the capacity to blend the tones of both pickups together.
The Rickenbacker 360 also offers both mono and stereo outputs. So you can hook up to two amps and really fill a venue.
