By far the most prominent feature of the Taylor GS8E is the choice of tonewoods. The Indian Rosewood is well known for it’s huge, bold sound, completed by the crispness and definition of Sitka Spruce. This pairing is highly commended by many players and will not fail to impress.
Although Taylor’s own Grand Symphony shape may bear resemblence to a Grand Auditorium guitar, there are some noticeable differences. Slight changes in shape such as a wider lower bout and waist gives you much deeper bass while still being well balanced and defined.
The Taylor GS8E Electro Acoustic Guitar is also pre-fitted with Taylor’s own Expression System preamp and pickup so you can plug in just about anywhere and get a great, clean amplified tone. This magnet-based system was designed to sound as close to a microphone as possible while having the versatility provided by a magnetic pickup. Only three simple controls– volume, bass and treble – are onboard this guitar meaning you can spend as much time playing as possible.
A robust Taylor GS Series Deluxe Hardshell case is also included within the price of the Taylor GS8E so you can take this guitar with you without worrying about any damage occurring while travelling.
