In terms of popularity electro acoustics don't come much bigger than the 500 Series. Having sold more than any other electro acoustic in the world Yamaha could have left this rock classic well alone. Instead they have tweaked it by switching the electronics to the improved System 65 Preamp and launched it as the Yamaha CPX500II Electro Acoustic.
Known for it's aggressive stage-presence the Yamaha CPX500II expresses a full tonal range through sweet mids, subtle highs and deep lows. The guitar's jumbo body shape produces a powerful sound that is kept under control by the non-scalloped X-type bracing, delivering clear, rich acoustic tones.
The unique medium-jumbo body of the Yamaha CPX500II gives you that rich bass sound at the same time as being comfortable to play, the single-cutaway design allows for easy access to the top-frets and the tonal range is picked up perfectly by the System 65 preamp.
The 500 series are time-tested, highly playable classics, relied on by many a performing guitarist. Available in a number of finish options, you're sure to find a Yamaha CPX500II to tickle your fancy.

I've had this guitar for 3 years now and it's easily the most amazing guitar I have ever had the pleasure of playing. It sits perfectly on my knee and it's weight when I stand to play means I can walk around with it and play with ease. The built-in tuner is great for different tunings and the guitar itself looks great.
The best guitar for any intermediate and expert players, the price is worth every pence, I went through hundreds of guitars and this one stood out as the best.

This guitar is by far the nicest guitar I have ever played in my life, everything about it is perfect. The beautiful quality of the wood to the feel of the neck is perfect. The sound that I seemed to get out of this guitar was a very thin sound, so if you want you play more open chords stuff then look at maybe an Epiphone; but for finger picking and more solo acoustic playing it is absolutely beautiful.
The body is also very comfortable to sit and stand with because I personally thought it was balanced perfectly. So if you are looking at buying a guitar around this price range it even higher then I would definitely give one of these a go because I honestly compare these to some of the Martin's I have owned previously.
