Features

  • Mahogany Neck
  • B-Band UST Pickup
  • Ibanez SRTc Preamp
  • Ibanez Smooth Tuner AS
  • Balanced XLR & 1/4" Outputs

The Ibanez EW20WNE is part of the praised EW series. The EW series pairs gorgeous and exotically-toned woods (cordia in this case) with the fantastic combo of B-Band UST pickups and newly developed Ibanez SRTc preamps with chorus and onboard tuners. And since the EWs are priced so reasonably, you get an unbeatable combination: great looks, great sound and great price.

EW Preamp (SRTc)

The biggest advantage on the newly developed Ibanez SRTc preamp is that you can get a beautiful chorus sound instantly by pushing one button. Its innovative Anti-feedback Freq. control allows high, loud sound levels onstage without any annoying squeal creeping into the mix. Adjustments are minimal-no more onstage fiddling with your controls-and tuning up is a breeze thanks to the SRTc's convenient onboard tuner.

Balanced XLR & 1/4" Outputs

In addition to the 1/4" output jack, a balanced XLR jack is included for direct connection to PA. AA battery operation avoids the difficulty in finding replacement batteries.

I played on this guitar in the Warrington branch a couple of days ago. I had previously turned my nose up at Ibanez acoustics due to the status of the electric guitars they produce. But giving it the benefit of the doubt I had a play.

I played 1 chord on the guitar and automatically thought it was brilliant. I played for about 10 mins - the neck is smooth and thin so it was easy to transit from chord to chord and the sound of this guitar was bright and big like an acoustic should be! With full EQ settings on the guitar itself it's easy to produce the sound you want out of it. I would recommend this guitar to anyone looking for a good cheap acoustic.
