The Ibanez GRG270B is a double cutaway solid body guitar with three pickups (2x Humbuckers and 1x Single Coil), Basswood body, maple neck with a 24-fret Rosewood fingerboard and the fantastic Edge III tremolo system.
The top of the Ibanez GIO range and this really is a great guitar for the price. The excellent build quality is, as you would expect from Ibanez, using quality timber and good craftsmanship. The 24-fret neck has a super slim profile and the Rosewood fingerboard is quite wide which is great for quick playing and swept arpeggios. The Ibanez GRG270B is also fitted with the true duo pick-up switching system offering a great deal of versatility from the five-way selector switch. The tremolo is what sets this guitar apart from all the other guitars in it's class, for all Steve Vai and Joe Satriani fans, this is the tremolo that you can dive bomb forever with and still be in tune, as well as being smooth enough to use for smooth, scooped phrases. For a similar guitar at this price you will do very well to better the Ibanez GRG270B.
