The Ibanez S series first appeared in 1987. Ever since, it has changed in appearance and function to represent the cutting edge of Ibanez design. For 2010 – with a two-octave fretboard, the Ibanez S770FM ATF (Antique Burst Flat) S model allows players more creative freedom.
Famous for its lightweight carved mahogany body, the S can take a beating while still providing the resonance of guitars twice its size. The S series also comes equipped with the ZR-2 tremolo system, a smooth ball bearing tremolo that makes every subtle nuance of whammy bar use come alive.

Bought this guitar in natural flat last week. Reading Dawsons ordered in for me, very friendly and helpful.
This guitar is just built to shred, with 24 frets and a comfortable neck, and the tone from the pickups is bliss - perfect for rock, punk, metal and more. Clean tone is a bit flat but some reverb or chorus covers that. ZPs keep tuning perfect but make it harder to whammy like mad, doesn’t matter though.
Ibanez has done a great job, and Dawsons is an awesome shop, so thanks!
