The Jim Dunlop MXR M264 FET Driver guitar effects pedal delivers the coveted overdriven tube amp tones that all guitarists long for. The expertly designed circuitry delivers sumptuous warmth with exquisitely clarity, and enough dexterity to make satisfy even the most discerning of player's tonal demands.

Classic MXR design

The MXR M264 is designed with a very simple control interface that is comprised of four knobs: Hi, Lo, Level, and Drive. As well as the knobs there is a Hi Cut switch.

The Hi knob cuts or boosts high frequencies, and the Lo knob cuts or boosts low frequencies - a powerful two-band EQ that enables you to shape and carve the distorted signal. The Level knob controls the overall effect volume, allowing you to create a subtle or substantial difference in volume when the pedal is engaged. The Drive knob controls the overall amount of distortion, taking your tone anywhere from light and fuzzy to deep and dirty. The Hi Cut switch rounds off the high frequencies at high volumes (with a useful green LED to indicate when the switch is activated).

The pedal is equipped with True Bypass circuitry, so you can rest assured that when the pedal isn't engaged, your dry signal will remain pristine and free of colouration.

Robust chassis

As we've come to expect from the team at MXR, the M264 FET Driver is built like a tank, and ready for the stage or the road. Many will attest to the heavyweight prowess of their MXR pedals, and with one of these beauties in your arsenal, you can't go wrong. The pots respond smoothly, attenuating the signal cleanly and without unwanted pops or click, whilst the footswitch engages with a confident click. The stage-ready LED indicator guarantees maximum visibility in even the darkest of arenas. The pedal can be powered using a 9V battery, or a 9-volt AC adapter.
