Classic MXR design
The MXR M264 is designed with a very simple control interface that is comprised of four knobs: Hi, Lo, Level, and Drive. As well as the knobs there is a Hi Cut switch.
The Hi knob cuts or boosts high frequencies, and the Lo knob cuts or boosts low frequencies - a powerful two-band EQ that enables you to shape and carve the distorted signal. The Level knob controls the overall effect volume, allowing you to create a subtle or substantial difference in volume when the pedal is engaged. The Drive knob controls the overall amount of distortion, taking your tone anywhere from light and fuzzy to deep and dirty. The Hi Cut switch rounds off the high frequencies at high volumes (with a useful green LED to indicate when the switch is activated).
The pedal is equipped with True Bypass circuitry, so you can rest assured that when the pedal isn't engaged, your dry signal will remain pristine and free of colouration.
