For over 85 years Kawai have produced world class musical instruments that embrace original ideas and mix them with immense passion that results in the stunning digital instruments that we see today. The Kawai CS4 is born from this philosophy and brings some amazing features to the table, all in a beautiful polished black cabinet that will look amazing in any home or venue.
The CS4 is an upright build that crams tons of premium features into its body including the 88-note graded responsive hammer 2 (RH2) keyboard which also features Kawai's ivory touch key surfaces and let-off simulation for ultimate control and repetition. This amazing amazing keyboard triggers any one of the built in 15 sounds, this includes the sampled Kawai EX concert grand of which all 88 keys have been painstakingly recorded, analysed and accurately produced which results in the high-fidelity waveforms that you will hear coming from the rich yet natural 4 speaker sound system.
Not just a digital piano...
As well as the stunning reproduction of concert grand pianos, the CS4 also comes with a range of other high quality instruments and voices. Rich electric pianos, powerful organs, harpsichord, vibraphone, strings, choir and synth pads are all available at your fingertips, and thanks to the dual mode you can layer sounds and split mode lets you play side by side with another performer or teacher. On the subject of learning there are built in Alfred basic 1A and 1B lesson functions to help improve your technique and ability. All the sound that emanates from the CS4 can have reverb added to give the impression of playing in a room, hall or stage to add a natural polish to the sound.
And there's more...
Other amazing key features on the Kawai CS4 include grand feel pedal system which includes sustain complete with half-pedal support, sostenuto and soft. There are also 42 classical songs pre-recorded in the CS4, should you wish for some backing music at a social event or purely to listen to the CS4's abilities. There are a further 15 demo songs that involve a wider use of all the CS4's amazing voices and if you want to record your own performances, you can do so using the 3-song recorder function, there's even a metronome for perfect timing.
The CS4 is a shining example of the lengths that Kawai will go to to produce a digital instrument of the best quality built into one amazing unit compact enough to go anywhere.
