Piano Sound

The Korg SP250 Digital Piano’s great sound is the result of carefully sampling a concert grand piano, with some of the longest samples in its class giving natural sustain and playing dynamics. The Korg SP250 offers three versions of this piano and adds to it a vintage electric grand and authentic honky-tonk piano, covering you for pretty much any genre.

Grand Piano Playing Experience

To replicate the feel of playing a grand piano, with differing key weights in each register of the keyboard, the Korg SP250 Digital Stage Piano features RH3 real weighted hammer action. The keyboard is responsive, even when playing repetitive keystrokes and the Key Touch Control function offers three touch curves to choose from.

Additional Sounds

The Korg SP250 Digital Stage Piano offers even more aural possibilities with the inclusion of other instrument sounds such as, classic electric pianos (reed and tine styles), church and jazz organs, string and choir sounds, harpsichord and clavs, mallet percussion and guitar.

To make selection easy the Korg SP250 Stage Piano has 30 demo songs built-in for you to audition the sounds across a range of genres. What’s more two sounds can be layered, plus there’s an additional balance ensuring you can get as much or as little of each individual sound as you want.

Reverb & Chorus Effects

Blurring the lines between acoustic and digital even further the Korg SP 250 Digital Stage Piano includes Reverb and Chorus effects, giving extra spaciousness and depth. These can be altered between three levels (Light, Normal, Deep) to best suit your sound.

Sound System

All the beautiful sounds on offer with the Korg SP250 are projected wonderfully with the piano’s two 10 cm dual-cone speakers matched to a pair of 11W amplifiers. Matching this rich sound with deep resonance is the bass-reflex speaker system.

Stand & Pedal

Readily supplied with the Korg SP250 Piano is a pedal, stand and music rest. Importantly, the high-quality damper pedal provides half-pedalling control, a must for full, expressive control.

The stand has been custom built for the Korg SP250 and fits into a recess in the piano for a firm, sturdy fit. It also includes a lower crossbar that the pedal fixes to, to keep it in place during performance. Although solid when set up, the stand can also be removed easily for taking the Korg SP250 on the road.

Connectivity

The Korg SP-250 Digital Stage Piano offers a selection of different ways to hear your performance. Aside from the built in speaker system you also have stereo outputs to hook up to a set of external speakers to fill larger venues. You also have dual headphone sockets, which can be used simultaneously: one for you, one for your teacher. The Korg SP250 is also supplied with MIDI In/Out jacks the can be used with a synth or other MIDI device.
