The Marshall MB4210 is for those wanting to leave a lasting impression with not only the audience, but also fellow band members. The MB4210 will send booming bottom-end signals thudding through the chest of everybody within a 200 yard radius! The 450 Watt, 2 x 10 inch combo with HF horn has two channels (modern and Classic) with separate EQ for each. The Modern channel features Bass, treble, a parametric Mid and a switchable compressor with variable level control. The Classic channel with its ECC83 pre-amp valve includes a Boost switch and has a 3-band passive tone network. The MB4210 also lets you select a blend of the two channels either from the front panel or via a supplied two-way footswitch. Ordered one over Christmas as a little treat to myself. Overall an excellent amp. The modern channel is much more crisp and punchy, whereas the classic channel allows a lot more low end through, and has a gain boost option to allow you to distort a little through the amp. I've read a few reviews where people have criticised the compressor for being a little over-present. But from my use of the amp so far, the compressor works fine, you just need to twiddle the dial to take away the right number of dB.
Overall an excellent combo, and with the option of adding an extension cab to reach the full 450, this amp will really be able to blow people away!

I've been lucky enough to use a few different models of this series for rehearsals; they're great for anything! The bass response is so tight yet so powerful when you want it to be. You can get nice slap tones out of it too, and nice plectrum tones. It does what you need, and does it very, very well. The blend of the two modes enables you to not just EQ it, but to actually get your own sound from it. Goes great with OD and other effects pedals too. Love this amp!
