Featuring legendary Martin craftsmanship and historical features but with adjustments for the modern performer, the Martin DCPA5 is an excellent dreadnought for all types of music. Although the Martin DCPA5 sits at the affordable end of the Martin spectrum it still has plenty to offer. Billed as a great gigging guitar and just as suitable for home practice, this model is the perfect option for those who would love to own a Martin.

Constructed with a solid Sitka spruce top and high pressure laminate mahogany back and sides, the Martin DCPA5 sounds just like a real dreadnought should. Constructing the guitar using high pressure laminate is a great choice, allowing for a more affordable guitar while mimicking the constructive properties of a solid wood. Classic Martin "X" bracing is used underneath the top with the pleasant addition of scalloped bracing. The braces under the top are carefully carved and shaped by hand to let the spruce top vibrate freely and sound great whilst remaining structurally sound.

The Martin Performing Artist DCPA5 may be a great guitar but it gets better. Taking lessons learnt from the past and using some fantastic materials the Martin Performing Artist series are all environmentally conscious guitars. Features such as high pressure laminate back and sides, stratabond neck and richlite fingerboard ensure quality is retained whilst the environment is not negatively effected.

The Martin DCPA5 features an analogue Fishman electronic system, the Fishman F1. An intuitive interface that offers enough control for the majority of performers but uses clever combo button/dials makes changing your settings quick and easy with excellent sound quality guaranteed.
