Achieve a wide range of sounds with the adjustable snare wires and high quality construction on the Meinl Snare Cajon.
Cajons are extremely versatile percussive instruments used for many styles of music. Ideal in flamenco and perfect for acoustic sets where full drum kits are a bit excessive, this Meinl Snare Cajon gives you the means to play great sounding percussive lines that blend in to many genres of music ideally. Cajons are often seen in acoustic rock and pop currently, and it’s understandable why. You’ll be amazed at the range of sounds you can achieve from the Meinl Snare Cajon and you’ll find yourself using it in many situations thanks to its convenience and portability!
The Meinl Snare Cajon features a knurled knob that lets you control the internal pressure of the snare wires against the front plate, changing the sound of the snare dramatically. If desired, the snare unit can also be turned off completely for maximum versatility. The resonating body of this cajon is made from Rubber Wood and the front plate white ebony, providing a good quality and visually professional playing surface. A padded seat is also fitted, for maximum comfort while playing your cajon at home, gigs or, thanks to the small nature of this instrument, just about anywhere!

This is an excellent make of cajon! The quality of the snare sound that comes from this instrument is the best I've heard in a long while. Having used this in an acoustic setting in front of a small crowd of 50 with an acoustic guitar, the sound carries really well and doesn't need a mic. It’s absolutely perfect for beginners or professionals alike and perfect for small gigs or busking.
