The Mirage MCR200R cornet is highly recommended amongst teachers and music services across the United Kingdom. It is ideally suited to any beginner because it is affordable, reliable and easy to blow. It is manufactured to an incredibly high specification with some of the best materials available. The lead pipe and bell are manufactured from rose brass, which in turn give the cornet a very warm sound because of the high copper content in the brass. The excellent design and precision construction of the MCR200R cornet gives the player very accurate intonation throughout all registers.
The valves are manufactured from monel steel for smooth operation. Most other student cornets only have nickel plated valves which in time will wear, leak and stick but the MCR200R boasts monel steel valves as found in more expensive models.
There are 2 water keys and adjustable 1st and 3rd valve slides with thumb and finger hooks for refined tuning in lower registers. The case provided is a zero gravity zipped case making it lightweight for carrying to lessons and schools.
