Guitar Lessons at Dawsons Liverpool

Lessons are £10.00 for 45 minutes with our teacher, FRED ARNELL, which represents excellent value in comparison with the £20/25 for private lessons, and they are paid for in advance on a monthly basis. Student absences are not the responsibility of the teacher and must be paid for (barring annual holidays). Teacher absences will not be chargeable.

Our Liverpool Guitar Lessons are based around the Rockschool series of exams and syllabus. You can find out more about the Rockschool methods here. These guitar lessons also allow the guitar teacher to add their own experience and teaching methods while still keeping a disciplined framework and teaching process.

The teachers will use modern songs as a basis for their music lessons which encourages learning. There's nothing better than learning to play the music you hear on the radio! They'll also cover some of the classic songs and learn the techniques used by those original guitarists to play them. Also as part of the guitar lessons they will learn different skills on the guitar including pinched harmonics, strumming techniques and guitar solos. Students will also learn guitar scales and different guitar tunings.

Since the courses are based around the Rockschool syllabus each guitar class works towards the Rockschool exams which are held approximately once a year. This gives the guitar class something to work towards and provides real exam results that are recognised by music departments in schools all across the UK.
