Description

Details

The MXR M269SE Carbon Copy Bright Guitar Effects Pedal delivers one of the most popular guitar pedals in the world, with a couple of extra tricks up its sleeve to wow fans and win new followers.

The key to the Carbon Copy's appeal is its 100% analogue bucket brigade technology, and generous analogue delay time. The Carbon Copy is known for its warmth and dark repeats, whereas the Carbon Copy Bright is tuned to accentuate much brighter and articulate pattern repeats, creating a shimmering quality to your delay tone.

Controls

The setup is incredibly simple with single inputs and outputs, as well as three easy-to-access control knobs: REGEN, MIX and DELAY; as well as a MOD switch. The MOD switch toggles the Modulation effect on/off, which adds a healthy dose of modulation to your delay signal. The width and speed of the modulation effect can be adjusted internally by removing the bottom plate of the pedal.

The REGEN knob sets the number of repeats you wish to play with, taking your tone anywhere for subtle to enveloping soundscape with the greatest of ease.

The MIX knob controls the blend of the wet (effect added) and dry (input) signals, giving you absolute control over how much the delay and modulation you wish to introduce into your signal patch.

The DELAY knobs sets the delay time, anywhere from a tight and punchy 20ms to a dizzying 600ms.

True Hardwire Bypass

In order to preserve your guitar's dry signal, and guarantee that your signal chain remains unblemished, the team at MXR has designed the Carbon Copy Bright with true hardwire bypass. Therefore, when your pedal is not in use, you can guarantee that your original tone is pristine.

As with other MXR stompboxes, the Carbon Copy Bright is powered by a 9-volt supply, which means that you can simply use a battery or power supply, which covers every scenario from indoor venues with power to wild open-air events.

Solid Build Quality

As you'd expect from MXR, the Carbon Copy Bright is built like a tank. The visually stunning green finish wraps around a solid die-cast outer shell that is designed to take an absolute pounding onstage, making it an incredibly reliable gigging pedal. The controls have a high-quality feel and the pedal is small enough to slot into any pedalboard or setup discreetly. Another stage friendly feature is the bright LED that indicates when the pedal is active – perfect when playing on that pitch black stage.
