Alex Hutchings Bio:

Bristol-based Alex Hutchings has extensive experience playing rock, funk jazz and r’n’b and has toured throughout the UK, Europe and South Africa. He also composes music for BBC TV and radio, working on programmes such as I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Big Brother, Brainiac, and various documentaries and feature films with top producer/writers Grant Buckerfield, Sarah Class, Mark Collins to name a few. Alex has collaborated and toured with many top artists and musicians, making his television debut with the talented singer/songwriter Phil Barlow last year. Alex’s focus in the coming years is to continue growing and developing as a writer and to become immersed in as many fun, and challenging projects as time will allow.

In the words of Jason Manners (manager of Dawsons Music Reading and no slouch in the guitar-playing department himself) “Alex Hutchings is an absolutely blinding guitarist. He has played alongside, and is often compared to Guthrie Govan, probably the hottest contemporary UK guitar player at the moment.”

The guitar department of our Manchester store has recently undergone an impressive makeover. The whole of the 2nd floor has been refurbished and reorganised to give the good people of Manchester the guitar experience they deserve!
