Numark iCDMIX 3

Numark are so well respected for their all-in-one CD mixers, to the point where their systems have become an industry standard and its easy to see why. Constantly pushing the boundaries they offer dual CD players with a mixer and all the functions you could need in a unit that is easy to set-up and pack away (without all the time you would normally spend testing levels and trailing cables). The Numark iCDMIX 3 is one such system.

iPods, CDs, CD-Rs, MP3-CDs – There’s a Place for You Here

Versatile is the best word to describe the Numark iCDMIX 3. As one of the first CDMIXes to have a built-in iPod dock at its centre you can carry your whole music library with you. It doesn’t stop there either, this is a CDMIX after all so compatibility with CD, CD-R, and MP3-CD discs comes as standard via the dual CD trays. If this still isn’t enough for you, rear-panel RCA inputs allow you to stack up additional CD players, iPods or turntables with preamps such as TTX USB or Tti.

What can it do?

The Numark iCDMIX 3 offers up dual multi-functional jog wheels that paired up with the two LCD displays allow you to quickly browse through your tracks and accurately pin point positions within tracks. These can also be used for beat matching by controlling pitch blend, though there is also automatic BPM detection built into the unit along with the ability to manually tap in tempo.

Cue points can also be set mid-performance and when used in conjunction with the Fader Start functionality cued points will start automatically with a swipe of the crossfader. You can monitor this with either ¼ or 1/8-inch headphones (with level control). These aren’t the only points where Numark shows its dedication to putting you in full control of your music. The three-channel mixer included on the Numark iCDMIX 3 is comparable with standalone mixers. Everything has been thought of to give you finite control, including dedicated mic and iPod channels. The main console also gives you the ability to switch between the built-in CD players and anything you have plugged in via RCA.

The Numark iCDMIX 3 is built to last with an all-metal chassis, along with rack ears to rackmount it or secure it in the Numark CDMIX CASE 3 (sold separately). Also to stop unwanted skipping in club environments (where anything can happen) the unit features Anti-Shock skip protection.
