Just about everything you could want in a DJ controller is here in the powerful, lightweight and highly portable Numark N4 DJ Controller. The package offers up four decks of software control with looping and effects controls, two large, touch-sensitive platters, a mixer (with EQ and gain controls) that can be used with or without a computer and a built-in USB interface.
The Numark N4 DJ Controller even comes complete with 2 DJ software packages: a 4-deck version of Virtual DJ LE and Serato DJ Intro.
All the Essentials
Everything you would expect a decent DJ set up to include is here on the Numark N4 DJ Controller with a pitch fader with key-lock control, looping controls, and effects and sampling controls. The layout makes sense and the faders, buttons and knobs are robust enough to stand up to life on the road whilst still feeling good to use. The Numark N4 DJ Controller also includes four Video Fade selectors for video mixing in Virtual DJ; however, to output full-screen video you would need to upgrade to Virtual DJ Pro.
Mixer Section
The Numark N4 DJ Controller features a fully-fledged mixer section that can be used with or without software. With all its inputs you can control almost any sound source from the mixer, such as external CD/MP3 players and turntables. With its four decks you can switch from 4 decks of software control to 2 software deck/2 external sources control in an instant.
Timecode
The Numark N4 DJ Controller supports time-coded vinyl or CDs when you upgrade the Virtual DJ LE to the Pro version of the software (or when using other advanced DJ software). This basically allows you to expand your set up to use external CD players or turntables to control your DJ software. Four platters anyone? You know you want to.
USB Interface
With its built-in USB interface, connecting to your laptop is simple. This also makes it easy to record your performance whether you are using the controller on its own or have a number of external sources in the mix. As expected there are also balanced XLR outputs for connection to virtually any sound system.
