Pioneer DDJ-ERGO K DJ Controller

Aside from the new sleek black aesthetics the Pioneer DDJ-ERGO K DJ Controller is an upgrade over the ERGO V as it ships with a copy of Traktor LE.

The Pioneer DDJ-ERGO K really is a beautiful beast with polished good looks encasing an exceptionally intuitive controller layout. Black gloss covers the top of the unit, offset by black satin side panels. All the controls stand out, there are chrome-plated Play/Cue buttons, white LEDs around the circumference of the 115mm jog wheel, and rubber pots on the dials.

Unique to ERGO is the controller’s Pulse Control. LEDs set around the circumference of the jog wheels indicate various parameters with light signals, letting you know which decks are active, the accuracy of your beat matching and which features are in use.

Set up to ready to play straight out of the box the Pioneer DDJ-ERGO K DJ Controller’s layout mirrors that of the included Traktor LE 2 software. Although set up to function seamlessly with Traktor, you are not limited to just this software. With the Pioneer DDJ-ERGO K’s MIDI output you can hook up pretty much any DJ software, such as Virtual DJ, Serato, djay and MixVibes’ Cross DJ/Cross, with no problems.

The Pioneer DDJERGO K DJ Controller makes integration with a laptop easy. Rather than setting up the two side-by-side Pioneer have cleverly added removable legs to the back of the DDJ-ERGO K; allowing your laptop’s base to slide underneath the controller, leaving the screen in full view. Of course, you can remove the legs and have the controller and laptop alongside each other, if you wish.

The Pioneer DDJ ERGO K DJ Controller is also USB powered, so all you need is your laptop (loaded with your preferred DJ software), a USB cable and your controller.
