The Rode NT3 is an incredibly versatile studio grade condenser microphone designed for live, studio and location use and can be mounted on a stand or used hand held. The Rode NT3 being a condenser microphone requires phantom power (48V) that said the NT3 is one of the few condenser microphones on the market that will run on either a 9V Battery or 48V phantom power supplied by a mixing desk/audio interface via the XLR cable.

The Rode NT3 features a ¾" hyper-cardioid capsule mounted on a rubber shock mount, having this large capsule will help pick up every subtle detail in the vocal or instrument you are using it on. The NT3 has an extremely flat 20Hz-20 000Hz frequency response with very low internal noise which is great for micing up vocals and acoustic guitars in studio.

The NT3's body is a rugged, solid cast metal and welded, heat-treated mesh head in a satin nickel-plated finish, which will withstand everyday gigging punishment and field recording. Along with the on/off switch there is a LED battery indicator to let you know when the 9V is running low so you never end up in that embarrassing live situation when you are half way through a song and the battery dies. The Rode NT3 includes a mic clip, which will fit both types of mic stand mounts, a carrying pouch and windsock. The included windsock is a not just for field recording but can be used every day to protect the capsule and it also acts as a basic pop filter. Rode is an Australian manufacturer who offer an amazing 10-year warranty on all their microphones, which just proves how well built they are.
