The Rode NT5 is a small but mighty cardioid condenser microphone that can be used in single or stereo set-ups on live drums, cymbals, in the studio and on a multitude of instruments.

The Rode NT5 has an incredibly low-noise, sensitive ½" Gold sputtered capsule mounted on an external rubber shock mount. With the NT5's 20 Hz- 20kHz frequency response and active J-FET impedance converter you will be sure to pick up every deep bass tone from the lowest note on a piano to the highest violin note.

The Rode NT5's cardioid capsule can easily be removed and changed for the Rode NT45-O (Omni directional Capsule) sold seperatly.

Thanks to the Rode NT5's compact size being just under 12cm in length it is great on stage, as it is non-obtrusive and will squeeze in the smallest of gaps allowing you to get up close and personal to the instrument you are recording.

Like all Rode microphones they are built to last with a 10-year warranty and solid cast metal construction, so you will be using this microphone for years to come.

The Rode NT5 also comes in a matched pair, which is great for stereo X/Y recording in rooms, on guitars or any other situation you would like a stereo recording of.

The NT5 includes a carrying pouch, Mic clip for all types of microphone stands and windshield for location recording.
