The Yamaha MW8cx USB Mixer is the simple way to start recording on your Mac or PC computer with 8-input channels, a built-in 2-channel USB audio interface, 16 built-in digital effects, bundled with Steinberg Cubase AI4 DAW music production software.
Connect the MW8cx mixing desk with your Mac or PC computer using the included USB cable to transfer stereo audio data in both directions, from the MW8cx mixing desk to the computer and from the computer to the MW8CX via the USB connection at 16 bit with either 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz sampling frequency. You don't have to install any proprietary drivers, because the MW8cx uses the standard drivers of the computers OS.
The Yamaha MW8cx featurines 8 audio inputs: 2 mono-channels XLR/phone jack including 1-knob compressor, 2 mono/stereo-channels XLR/phone jack, 1 stereo-channel phone jack/RCA. Stereo Main, Stereo Monitor and Headphone outputs. The MW8cx also includes 16-digital effects programs: 8-Reverbs, 2-Echos, 2-Choruses, 2-Flangers, an Auto Wah, plus Distortion.
Yamaha's clever innovative 1-knob analog compressors on the mono input channels lets you dial in just the amount of compression needed in recording, without having to set multiple parameters like threshold level, compression ratio and makeup gain. One knob does it all for you, instantly giving you great, punchy sound.
Steinberg Cubase AI4 audio MIDI sequencing software, bundled with the Yamaha MW8cx USB Mixer, is a full-featured music production software based on the award-winning Cubase SX and SL programs. Cubase LE provides up to 48 simultaneous audio tracks and 64 MIDI tracks, plus a variety of VST plug-in software synths and effects, as well as full VSTi compatibility, with support for up to eight VST instruments. Cubase combines powerful audio and MIDI recording features with professional editing and effects, and is compatible with both the Mac and Windows PC platforms. Since Cubase projects are completely upward compatible with the professional level Cubase SX and SL, you can still use your Cubase songs if and when you decide to upgrade.
