Roland R-26 Personal Recorder

The Roland R-26 is a professional, portable, digital recorder with incredibly simple operation and quick access to all the advanced features when you need them. One of the immediate signs of how serious this device is, is the Dual XLR/TRS jack combo inputs with full 48V phantom power for using any external condenser microphones and stereo microphones (and this recorded separately to the internal mics) so you can use this as the master audio recorder for film and television work.

The Roland R 26 records uncompressed audio at 24/16-Bit, 96/88.2/48/44.1 kHz and can record MP3 at 128/320 kbps. Removable storage is in the form of SD Cards (SDHC format compatible) - so you can easily get hold of as many cards as you need for your sessions, and you can power off the included AC Adaptor or using 4xAA batteries.

Plug into a computer via USB and you can immediately access the recorded audio, record live audio and interface with the included Cakewalk Sonar LE software or other DAWs. There is a Loop-Back function, which enables you send audio streams to this digital recording device, and adding the live sounds to the stream - which makes it great for live sound applications where some content is streaming from a studio, pre-recorded footage or other source.
