The Zoom R24 Digital Multi-Track Recorder adds a pad sampler, drum machine, 8 additional recording tacks and 6 channels of phantom power to the already popular Zoom R16. These features are combined with direct-to-SD multi-track recording, computer multi-track audio-interface and control surface functionality and over 100 built in studio instrument, mixing and mastering effects for unbelievable flexibility. You can even sync two R24s via USB for 16-channel simultaneous recording. This is one of the most advanced (yet simple to use) digital recorders available.
The Zoom R-24 comes with a 1GB SD card, but can be expanded using any size of SD card up to 32GB SDHC - so you can make some pretty huge productions absolutely anywhere. In fact, as well as having an included AC adaptor you can use 6 AA batteries to record literally anywhere. When you get back to your computer, if you want to unload your projects via USB it is easy, and you can continue working, using the r26 as an interface and control surface, until your production is finished. The control surface emulates the Mackie Control for easy setup and use.
The Pad Sampler on the R-24 features 24 built-in voices and 8 pads, with 3 banks, so you can assign sounds to each track and create loops. This combines with a 400 rhythm pattern drum machine to provide a production toolkit that is capable of recording music of all genres.
