The sE2200a itself picking up plenty of accolades & awards along the way, including winning the highly regarded Music Industry Association (MIA) award twice.
The previous iteration of the SE Electronics sE2200a MK2, the sE2200a, was used to record Amy Winehouse's vocals on the incredible 'Back to Black' album and more recently Ellie Goulding’s 'Bright Lights'. Built to boutique brand standards but at the cost of mass-automated-produced mics the SE Electronics sE2200a II Condenser Microphone is being passed the baton that has seen the sE2200 series being taken up by professional studios the world-over.
Listening to the collective voice of its professional customers SE Electronics have crafted the SE Electronics sE2200a 2 Microphone to allow recording with multiple polar patterns (Cardioid, Figure of 8, Omni). This they have done by utilising a handcrafted, 1" gold sputtered diaphragm, based on the original sE 2200a capsule, but a 'back-to-back' version.
The SE Electronics sE2200a II Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone has also been given a custom black rubber paint finish. More than merely cosmetic, this addition also helps to dampen chassis resonance; giving you even purer recording than ever before!
