The sE2200T Tube Microphone is a valve version of the multi-award winning sE2200Ta large diaphragm cardioid condenser studio microphone. This version of SE's most widely used microphone adds tube nuance but retains the same 1" gold capsule, 10dB pad and low cut filter. If you are after silky mid/low frequencies this microphone is ideal, and as it is powered using it's own discrete power supply you can be sure to get a reliable, low noise signal with a bit of extra vintage charm from the natural valve overtones.
The pack includes an aluminium shock mount, discrete power supply and valve condenser microphone all shipped in a tough aluminium flight case for easy transportation, storage and studio use. Indeed, this is an ideal microphone for any studio, offering an excellent male vocal tone as well as offering an often beautiful tone for recording countless different sources. It is certainly great to have the option of trying a warm tube mic in any studio, and this one offers a reliable sound that, despite offering a spot of the vintage, is not overly quirky and suits a lot of general purposes.
