Introducing the Redwood C50AB concert ukulele, a unique string instrument befitting of any enthusiastic musician looking for an addition to their collection. The C50AB is a high quality ukulele in an Open Pore Natural finish made with contrasting tonewoods which contribute to a beautiful sound and artistic appearance. To make things even easier, Redwood have fitted Aquila strings to the C50AB ukulele so it’s ready to play as soon as you receive it.
Redwood have gone for rosewood as their tonewood of choice for constructing the back and sides of the C50AB. Rosewood is a popular choice for the back and sides as it projects a warm, classic sound which is robust and full of depth. As rosewood is quite dense, it can cover a wide range of tones which is further enhanced by the application of a solid cedar body top. Cedar tops can still produce a bright timbre however it tends to also have more sustain and elevated mid to low end tones.
The solid cedar top is given a matt, open pore natural finish and wooden binding to protect against any chips or nicks in the wood.
Fitted firmly to the body of the C50AB ukulele is a strong, smooth mahogany neck which feels comfortable from the moment you pick it up to play. Aboard the neck is a sumptuous 18-fret rosewood fingerboard which has been embellished with abalone dot markers on the frets to guide you as you play.
An additional, attractive design feature has to be the abalone purfling around the edges of the body which offers a stunning visual contrast against the natural finish.
The Redwood C50AB is a magnificent concert ukulele packed with great features to suit anyone who is looking to add to their string collection.
