The Redwood G-15 Guitar Amplifier is an excellent starter amp for musicians who are on a budget but don’t want go without the power and features of a more expensive alternative. It fulfils a great potential at an affordable price, ideal for beginners who want to improve their playing skills or perhaps for players who want a low cost, sturdy amp for band practices.
SMALL, WITH A POWERFUL STING
The compact dimensions of the Redwood G-15 make it perfect as a bedroom practice amp, but with 15-watts of power through a 6.5” speaker you have give enough volume to crank things up. The amp has been fitted with a handle to making moving it around much easier and benefits from a solid construction, so it will survive getting knocked around a bit. Taking it on the road to various practice sessions is alleviated by its carry handle, and to avoid any obtrusive sharp corners, Redwood have ensured the G-15 amp has non-slip rubber edge protectors.
Despite its affordable price, the Redwood G-15 Guitar Amplifier has a number of tone shaping features, so you can pick out the sound you want. Designed with two channels, you can switch between the sound mode you want quickly and easily. The Clean channel offers a natural sound that you can shape with the amp’s 3-band EQ, while pressing the Clean/Drive button will put you onto the Overdrive channel, which has its own separate Volume and Gain controls; perfect for a louder, heavier rock sound.
When all this gets too much for your neighbours but you want to keep playing regardless, just connect a pair of headphones into the ¼ inch / 6.3mm jack socket. This will mute the speaker output, so you can carry on playing with the sound coming through your headphones. This is also a fantastic way for a new guitar player to build up confidence and test their abilities.

- Good little practice amp
In a small room the volume can be quite loud for a 15W amp.
