Make your bass drum head last significantly longer with the Remo Falam Slam, a bass drum patch designed to protect from beater damage while not affecting resonance negatively.
These damper pads simply stick on to your bass drum head where the beater meets the skin, so the beater makes contact with the Remo Falam Slam instead of the head. This is said to help define the sound of your bass drum, reducing boom and overtones to provide a more focused, direct tone with more attack.
Remo Falam Slam patches also greatly extend the life of your drum head, as the bass drum skin does not get any direct contact that often leaves behind dents and ultimately a broken drum head. The special “Falam” patch is made by combining Kevlar and Mylar by interweaving them with each other, creating a fabric laminate that will protect your bass drum for a considerable length of time, potentially saving you money on new heads.
This model is a double 2.5" Remo Falam Slam patch, designed for double kick pedal use. S beater patches are also available.
