A combination of a guitar amp and an iOS music system, the Roland Cube Lite Guitar Amplifier is a bespoke bit of kit that gives you a single system that excels in both areas. With great COSM guitar tones (JC Clean, Crunch, and Extreme), reverb and chorus effects, and a 2.1 channel speaker system, this is a great little amp for practice. Team it up with the free-to-download CUBE JAM iOS app and you can jam along with your favourite tracks, record your sessions, and export them, without having to go anywhere near a computer! When you’re done playing, the Roland Cube Lite can be used as an iOS Hi-Fi, playing your music library through stereo speakers and a subwoofer, giving rich, expansive sound.
2.1 Channel Stereo Audio System
With it’s 2.1-channel audio system the Roland Cube Lite Guitar Amplifier encompasses stereo speakers and a subwoofer. Offering a full, rich sound this set up is perfect for both of its dual purposes; your guitar will sound amazing through it, and your music library will probably never have sounded so crisp.
Easy iOS Connection
The Roland Cube Lite Guitar Amplifier has been designed for use with iOS devices. The guys at Roland have therefore ensured that it’s easy to get connected up and playing in no time. Download the free CUBE JAM iOS app and with i-CUBE LINK, you just hook up your guitar, with a standard jack lead, and an iOS device, with the included cable, and straight away you can blend your playing with COSM amps, effects, and your iOS music library. Additionally, should you need to play in silence, you can plug in a pair of headphones and the amp’s speakers will be muted.
CUBE JAM iOS app
CUBE JAM iOS app is a fantastic, free app that works perfectly with the Roland Cube Lite Guitar Amplifier, as an aid to practice and for recording. Once you’re hooked up, just select a track from your iOS device. You can then use Centre-Cancel to remove guitars/vocals for you to play over the track clearly, you can slow the tempo (or change the key) of the track down to practice it and control the volume of your guitar and the backing track independently, you can then record your own playing along with all of the amp tones & effects you have selected. When you’re happy with your mix you can export it as an 16-bit, 44.1 kHz WAV file.
Versatile Direct Mode Recording
If you like playing using the COSM amp tones and effects but want to record without these included, the Roland Cube Lite Guitar Amplifier has you covered. Using Direct Mode you can play using as many amp tones and effects as you want but the audio captured will be dry. You can then use this unaltered recording in any other audio app for processing. Direct Mode also allows you to use real-time audio processing in other apps and output through the Roland Cube Lite Guitar Amplifier’s speakers.
