The Squier Vintage Modified '70s Stratocaster is a tribute to the Strats played by working guitarists during the '70s. Typical '70s features are seen everywhere from the headstock to the hardware (with black plastic parts). The Duncan Designed SC-101 pickups offer a vintage single-coil strat Alnico V sound, and whilst offering the reliability of modern craftmanship, they also have the soul of the originals.
The tint gloss neck gives the Squier Vintage Modified '70s Stratocaster an aged look, without the wear and tear. Other vintage appointments include the traditional synchronized tromolo, adujustable bridge, vintage tuners, dot inlays and engraved neckplate. The 3-ply pickguard ads to the look with the middle ply giving it a subtle outline.
The vintage white Squier Vintage Modified '70s Strat features a rosewood fretboard, which is darker sounding and more defined. The three-ply pickguard is white-black-white, which contrasts the black plastic parts to create vibrant body that contrasts well with the neck and has a really classic vintage look.
The early '70s was one of the greatest era's in Fender's history, with wolrd-class artists such as Richie Blackmore, Yngwie Malmsteen and The Edge using Strats from the '70s. The Squier Vintage Modified '70s Stratocaster captures the feel, looks and sound of that famous period in Strat history.
