Belfast Music Shop
The Belfast music scene has been quietly turning out hugely influential musical acts at an enviable rate since, well… forever. The vibrant city, with its famously industrial past has produced the likes of Van Morrison, David Holmes, The Undertones, Stiff Little Fingers, members of Thin Lizzy, James Galway, Gary Moore, Katie Melua and many others.
Belfast is also the home to the Ulster Symphony Orchestra. The city itself has inspired an astonishing number of songs, with artists from Orbital to James Taylor dedicating tracks to the city. The creative spirit flows freely through the city, and it is at the heart of this that Dawsons Belfast is based.
Our Belfast store is located on Royal Avenue, on the location of the former Marcus Musical Instruments store in the city’s Cathedral Quarter. This part of the city has become the creative hub of Belfast city centre. The area has received sizable investment from the Arts Council, and the majority of the Belfast music and arts festivals take place here. What this means is that just all of the city’s most exciting musical events happen in the immediate vicinity of the store.
This, of course, is entirely intentional. All Dawson music stores aim to serve and support musicians and the musical community, and the Dawsons Belfast shop is at the heart of this, as a musician’s haven, fulfilling all of your musical needs.
The Belfast Guitar Shop is simply the guitar store to visit in Belfast. With instruments and equipment spread over four floors, guitarists will find a huge selection of guitars from Gibson, Epiphone, Fender, Ibanez, Farida and more, along with amps and all of the accessories you might need.
Pianos & Keyboards
Keyboard and piano players in Belfast will find their needs equally well served. A wide range of acoustic and digital pianos is stocked, from Yamaha, Roland, Kawai and more. The store is also the only authorised Nord dealer in Northern Ireland.
Recording & DJ Equipment
Those involved in recording and production will find much to like. Audio interfaces, controllers, microphones, software, and indeed, anything else you may need to create a great recording are here in abundance from brands such as Focusrite, KRK, Roland, Apple and many other brands. DJs will also be pleased with an impressive range of decks, controllers and other equipment from Pioneer, Numark, Native Instruments and Novation.
Musical Instruments & Accessories
For Orchestral players, a selection of beginner and intermediate instruments from the likes of Yamaha, Mirage and Buffet, along with a wide range of consumables and accessories are available.
Aside from the huge range of gear and instruments, the upper floor of the shop is host to regular in-store events, clinics, workshops and demonstrations. Building strong bonds and relationships with musicians and the local musical community is central to Dawsons Belfast’s intentions, and these are a great opportunity to become a part of the wider musical world.
