A right kit for the job !

The Tama Imperialstar kit is undoubtedly a brilliant piece of kit. It has all the Tama style, functionality and tone and is extremely good value. I feel that these kits are incredibly durable, I have had mine dropped several times by the band (even before i bought cases for them) and they have hardly any damage at all.
I must admit that they did have some issues with ringing to begin with, but yet again i do like a really sharp sound with not a lot of ring, but with a few hours tuning and experimenting with tensions they have a really nice sound.
The only other problem i can really find is just that i personally don't like having the plastic accu-tune bass drum hoops, simply because of their look but they have a really sweet sound. -

This is a really well made kit that is very easy to do rolls with, as the skins are so tight you can literally bounce your stick off them. The tom's tune easily and there is very little need to buy another snare, as the one that comes with the kit is perfect for most sounds.
