The Tama Starclassic Performer Bubinga Birch is a modern fusion 5-piece drum kit shell pack. This kit is all about tone, with the crisp birch outer plies, with the warm, deep resonance of the bubinga plies on the inside of the shells. This unique combination of woods is a response to the popularity of very articulate all-birch drum kits, which can sound a little thin to some ears, hence the warm bubinga plies that combine with the birch to give the best of both worlds.
The fat sound of the 22x18, un-drilled kick drum is deep and powerful, yet controlled - perfect for modern drummers. The tom's are a fusion combination of 10x8, 12x9 and 16x14 which give you great top end, great bottom end and easy positioning for the rack toms. This set is enhanced by adding a free matching 14x5.5 snare drum. The Tama Starclassic Performer BB Red Sparkle Burst is a very professional kit, and the finish really sticks out on stage. The expertly chose drum sizes are also perfect for a wide range of styles.
The hardware on the Tama Starclassic Performer Bubinga Birch shell pack is also very impressive. The un-drilled bass drum features a sliding tom mount that is positioned above the drum, to maximise resonance. The BD has wood hoops with claw hooks, while the rest of the drums feature premium die-cast hoops. The floor tom has air cushioned legs, the toms use the 'Star-Cast' tom mounting system and the whole kit comes with genuine Evans heads. This set will sound great straight out of the box, just tune it up how you like it and get playing.

Awesome kit

Had this drum kit for 2 years now, been played live and in the studio several times, such a versatile kit, great build quality and the sound is just amazing. Won't find a better and more professional kit for the price :)
