The Taylor 110ce dreadnought cutaway electro acoustic guitar, is an entry-level model that includes many features that are normally associated with Taylor's more expensive series’ guitars. The body is crafted to the traditional dreadnought shape, noted for its powerful mid to low-end projection, with an accompanying crispy treble, with a slender Venetian cutaway. The dreadnought cutaway offers an incredibly comfortable playing feel, for players who want an acoustic that is suited to fingerstyle and single-note picking, as well as strumming and playing chords.
The body top is made using solid Sitka spruce, a tonewood that is favoured by Taylor due to its highly resonant character, making it a fantastic soundboard that projects sound with articulation and power. In order to reinforce the top, Taylor's forward shifted bracing pattern is on hand to prevent buckling over time whilst allowing it to resonate fully. The back and sides of the body have been built from layered sapele. Layered sapele is composed of a central core of poplar that is pressed between interior and exterior layers of sapele veneers. The layered nature of the back and sides gives it incredible resilience when dealing with fluctuating humidity and temperature - fantastic for travelling guitarists who need a guitar that travels well.
Fitted to the body is a sturdy tropical American mahogany neck, which is paired with a sumptuous ebony fingerboard. This tried and tested partnership is seen across many of Taylor's model, due to the reassuringly solid playing feel they create, with a detailed response across the length of the fingerboard. Thanks to the stylish Venetian cutaway, every single one of the available 20-frets are within easy reach.
In addition to the natural sound projection abilities of the tonewoods and dreadnought body shape, the 110ce is fitted with Taylor's ES-T electronics system, which allows you to plug the guitar into an amplifier. The ES-T is a single-source, under-saddle transducer with individual response elements for each string. It features a built-in preamp to give the signal a boost, if necessary, and the same active controls that are on the full ES in more expensive models. These are discreetly tucked away so that they don't interfere with your playing.
Tuning integrity is maintained with absolute precision by the die-cast chrome tuners, whilst the tortoise coloured pickguard protects the body top from unwanted nicks and scrapes, and creates a subtle contrast to the gorgeous sunburst finish. The Taylor 110ce dreadnought cutaway electro acoustic guitar comes with a gig bag, so you're good to get out and gig as soon as it arrives.
If you’re looking for a vibrant performing partner that can take anything you can throw at it, offers a very comfortable and enjoyable playing feel, and creates complex tones that a full of that distinctive Taylor character, then the 110ce dreadnought cutaway electro acoustic guitar is the one for you.
