Brilliant so far
Posted on 26/08/2015 by CHARLIE Having played it out of the box, the action on the guitar is very low for an acoustic. This makes playing a breeze, however it does mean adjusting technique to apply enough pressure to counter some fret noise. Would suggest if you were buying this, you bought a new nut for the neck slightly higher than stock- bone if preferred, the plastic doesn't give you a bad tone, but it would just benefit you to have maybe that little bit of extra height on the string to counter the buzz. The electronics bring out a completely different side to the guitar, although they seem to focus on keeping the sound bright, you lose some of the tonality trying to almost "force" warmth into the sound. All said and done, a fantastic guitar - I have played a number of lower end acoustics up until now, and if you are used to spending around the 200-300 mark to get a guitar that will sound good up until the point that it starts to tire and need replacing or refurbishing, this guitars solid body will only improve with age.

PROS:
Great sound out of the box. Looks phenomenal, plays easily. Electronics are easy to master, mic blend offers a range of sounds.

CONS: Action slightly too low, have read about this complaint in a number of articles so i don't believe it's unique to myself! Whole guitar quite bright. I imagine as the rosewood ages, a bit more warmth will shine through. I would possibly suggest if you were using this as a main gigging guitar, consider a sound hole humbucker to double as your lower end power.
All in all, fantastic buy, and fantastic value.
