Being at the higher end of the APX Series the Yamaha APX1000 Electro Acoustic has been built placing the greatest emphasis on the selection of great tonewoods. Featuring Yamaha's flagship System 63 SRT preamp, this is a guitar that is sounds great when plugged into an amp. The Yamaha APX1000 screams to be used on-stage with a full tonal range being expressed, from beautifully weighted highs to reserved lows. The resonance of the guitar's unique body shape is accentuated by the non-scalloped X-type bracing, giving the top real clarity.
However, the whilst the APX1000 is great plugged in, in a 'stage' setting, it is equally well suited to being played acoustically in a smaller venue, in the studio or at home
